Oyo Governor Speaks Over LAUTECH’s Closure, Gives Conditions For Re-Opening

The Executive Governor of Oyo state, Abiola Ajimobi has spoken on what could be done before the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomosho can be reopened.

In a meeting with the students, staff and management of Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo, yesterday, Ajimobi declared the reopening of the institution and also spoke on the issue of LAUTECH’s shutdown.

He asked that the school management
cooperates with the auditors sent by the
owner- states ( Oyo and Osun ) to investigate the finances of the state university.

“Is it wrong for government to demand the auditing of a public institution, which government has been spending on?”, he

LAUTECH has been shutdown since May 30
over the non – payment of salaries for workers .
