FUTA Appoints First Female V.C

Professor (Mrs.) Adenike Oladiji has emerged as the new Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA).

Oladiji, 54, was announced by the Council of the University on Thursday.

She defeated 19 others to emerge the 8th substantive VC of the institution, and first female to occupy the position in the history of the university’s existence.

Oladiji will take over from Prof. Joseph Fuwape whose tenure ends on May 23, 2022.
