JUST IN: Warn Your Deputy To Stay Clear Of Ondo Amnesty Benefits, Youths Tell Akeredolu
Youths of the Ilaje and Ese-Odo local government extractions in Ondo state have called on Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu to warn his deputy, Hon. Agboola Ajay, over his ‘undue interference’ in the distribution of some benefits accrued to them under the Presidential amnesty Programme.
The Youths, through their coordinator, Mr. Samuel Omobulejo in a chat with Nigerian Cable News alleged that the deputy governor has before now influenced the amnesty benefits to only his loyalists, who sold them for financial gains.
They further alleged that he threatened the workers at the amnesty agency office, to make them loose their jobs, when they decided to stop following his instructions, and open up the benefits to the access of the generality of the youths.
Omobulejo also alleged the deputy governor of being the brain behind the delay in the appointment of an Ondo state representative on the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) board,
However, Mr. Donald Ojugo, who spoke on behalf of the deputy governor as recommended by his Personal Assistant, Mr. Sam Ogunmusi said the allegations are not true, and that the accusers do not understand the amnesty scheme.
