ESAE University Clears Self From Malicious Publication

The Ecole Superieme d’Administration, d’Economic, de Journalisme et des Metires de l’Audivisuel (ESAE), Cotonou has responded to a malicious online publication. Where the school was named among universities tagged as mushroom Universities in Benin Republic.

The University in a Press statement signed by Mr. Michael Olushesan, the
Public Relations Officer (Anglophone) described the Online Publication as a ridiculous campaign of calumny, aimed at tarnishing the image of the University.

Below is the Press statement Unedited:

The inclusion of Ecole Superieme d’Administration, d’Economic, de Journalisme et des Metires de l’Audivisuel (ESAE), Cotonou, among mushroom universities operating in Benin Republic, by an online publication recently, is a ridiculous campaign of calumny. ESAE University has never and will not dabble into activities that will tarnish the good image that we have been building since the inception of our operations.

We are aware of the rots in the university education in Benin Republic, most especially by individuals who cherish wealth above qualitative education. However, including us among culpable universities is a condemnable act which hurts the reputation of our university.

For the records, ESAE University does not offer unaccredited programmes. We do not run medical and engineering courses, as our institutional focus is built around Journalism, Administration, Economics and Management. All these information can be verified at the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology, Benin Republic. The Ministry of Education in Nigeria also attests to the quality emanating from our great institution of learning. We have churned out graduates worthy in character and learning, and they are doing well in their various academic and professional endeavours.

Our facilities are of great standard, and we boast of a world class broadcasting studio where we create programmes for our Television and Radio Stations.. Our students are benefiting immensely from these facilities and we are also not resting on our oars in a bid to do more. Our campuses run in magnificent edifices, built with the intent of creating a conducive atmosphere for learning. We do not run our programmes in rented apartments, as portrayed in the misleading publication.
While we canvass for quality in university education in Benin Republic, we advise all government agencies in charge of higher education not to relent in the good work they have been doing by ensuring sanity in the operation of tertiary institutions in the country. As a stakeholder, we will continue to play our part by operating according to the set standards.

Signed
Michael Olushesan
Public Relations Officer (Anglophone)
