BREAKING: 2019: Monarchs Declare Support For Ondo Rep Members’ Re-election

The council of Obas in Odigbo and Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo local government Ondo state have unanimously declared their support for Hon. Mayowa Akinfolarin, the lawmaker representing Ileoluji-Oke-Igbo/Odigbo Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, while urging their subjects to support him for second term.

The Monarchs who spoke through one of them, Oba Dr. Julius Olufaderin Adetimehin, the Jimoko (II) of Ile-Oluji at the event of the opening ceremony of a 3-day training and skill acquisition program facilitated by Akinfolarin at Odigbo today said their decision is based on the outstanding and unprecedented records of the honourable in the last three years.

They said the honorable has sponsored over 12 bills in the National Assembly, adding that he has also influenced projects worth over N600,000,000.00 to the benefit of his constituents, ranging from road construction to other projects of public benefit.

The monarch said at the program:

” We are Proud of him. He is a good ambassador of our constituency. He is a shining example and somebody that should be emulated. Our advice to People coming behind him is to follow his steps, because he is leaving a landmark that will not be easily surpassed. We love him, he is doing great.”

He further said:

“let me say this in Oyo language, Yoo lo leekan si (He will go for the second term)”

The beneficiaries who spoke through some of their representatives also appreciated the honourable for organizing such a program for them, while praying for the strenght of God for him to be able to do more.
The honourable in his reaction said the best way to reciprocate the gesture of the people who have reposed their confidence in him through their votes is to reach out to them, and that the program is just one of the ways he thinks he should reach out to them. He concluded by saying that he is only doing what is expected of him.

Other Leaders at the event Prince George Adenikinju Odigbo, the Local Government Caretaker Chairman of Odigbo local government and Oba Rufus Akinrinmade, the Orunja of Odigbo Kingdom. Religious leaders and opinion leaders also graced the occasion in their numbers
