JUST IN: Shi’ite Leader, El-Zakzaky Speaks From Detention

The leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, popularly called Shi’ite Group, Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky has spoken from detention today.

El-Zakzaky is being detained by the Federal Government against the court ruling calling for his release.

Speaking to journalists today, he gave update about his health as he also thanked Nigerians for their prayers.

He said:

“I am feeling better, the security (officers) have allowed me to see my doctor, my personal doctor. I thank God. I am improving”.

“I thank you for all your prayers”, the Shi’ite leader ended.

It would be recalled that the Shi’ite members protested to the National Assembly earlier this week asking fot his release where they were dispersed with teargas by security operatives.
