Former PDP Guber Aspirant, Others to Join APC Today
Barring any last-minute change in plans, chieftains of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo state, who resigned from the Party on Monday, will join the All Progressives Congress (APC) today, Nigerian cable news online has gathered.
The group led by former governorship aspirant of the PDP, Honourable Banji Okunomo, Nigeriancablenewsonline.com gathered, will lead members of the PDP from across the eighteen local government areas of the state, to declare their support for the APC on Thursday.
The declaration ceremony is scheduled to hold by 2:00pm, at the furtune University in Igbotako Kingdom of Okitipupa local government.
The group, it was gathered, will be received by the APC state chairman, engineer Ade Adetimehin, the deputy governor of the state, Hon. lucky Ayedatiwa, Ondo south senator-elect, Dr. Jimoh Ibrahim, and former governorship candidate, chief Olusola Oke, SAN.
Others equally expected at the event are the local government chairmen of the APC from the six local government areas of Ondo south.
Nigerian Cable News online reported on Monday, how the group of leaders, consisting of the former governorship aspirant and council chairman in Ilaje local government, Honourable Banji Okunomo, former chairman of Okitipupa local government, Honorable Solomon Bitire, the director-general of the 2023 Presidential campaign council in Ilaje local government, Honourable Jossy Ehinmore, former counselor, Honourable Malo Olorunwa, and former OSOPADEC commissioner, Honourable bisi ilawole left the PDP on Monday, citing party leadership crisis as their reason for resigning from the Party. Others have since joined the group.
