BREAKING: Ondo workers Protest Against Non-Payment Of Salaries

Workers in Ondo state, who are in charge of cleaning Public Hospitals across the state have taken their dissatisfactions to the Governor’s office at Alagbaka Akure in Protest today.

One of the protesters who spoke under anonymity said:

“Our salaries has not been paid for the past three months. Fifteen thousand naira was the approved amount we were to be paid but Mr. Bayo, who is the administrative officer in charge paid us ten thousand naira.”

The protesters who turned out in their numbers also complained of qualitatively poor disinfectants and other cleaning materials being made available to them.

Mr. Bayo, the supervisor of the cleaning process, while addressing the protesters lamented over the poor response from the state government. In his words:

“The last payment we made was from borrowed funds. All the request letters we have forwarded to the Ondo state government haven’t been approved by the governor for weeks.”

Sources however revealed that the wife of the state governor is the coordinator of the Cleaning services.

The SSA Security matters to the state governor however appealed for calm.
