Yele Omogunwa Didn’t Deny The Blackout In Ondo South – OSDF

Following the reactions to an earlier publication of nigeriancablenews.com. Where the senator representing ondo south senatorial district, Sen. Yele Omogunwa claimed not to have been invited to participate in the ‘Bring Back Our Light’ movement.

The Ondo South Development Forum has given some clarifications on the position of the senator concerning the ‘no light’ situation in the senatorial district.

According to comrade Ojamomi Fadeshola Esq, the Director of Legal Services of the Ondo South Development Forum, on a phone call with our correspondent.

He said:

“the Senator didn’t say he’s not aware that there was no light in Ondo south senatorial District because 4 years before he became a senator, the people of the region and his very self have suffered a total black out.
What he said was that the convener of the BBOL has never inform him or written to him as regards any meeting aimed at discussing the electricity issuess.
Hence, he has taken steps as a stakeholder from the Senatorial District and has met the presidency on the said issue. He equally said the issues were encapsulated in a Blue print and has been submitted to the office of the Finance minister for upward review and possible approval.”

He Further Said;

“This is to further show that the senator has been working out other modalities as to how light can be restored in the Region. He decided to present the matter before the presidency because the cost implications is beyond an individual capacity. He verily believed that this can only be done through support from well meaning citizens of the Ondo South Senatorial District, his very self and the presidency”
