Former minister of aviation and chieftain of opposition People’s Democratic Party, Femi Fani Kayode has given hint on what any potential presidential candidate from any political party should to do win election in 2019.
As the Ekiti state Governor Ayodele Fayose declared intention to run for President in 2019, the former minister posited that the place of Yoruba is not negotiable.
He mentioned that the lesson the past government failed to acknowledge was according respect to the Yoruba population.
However, according to Fani Kayode, the implication will be gross if the Yoruba population is undermined ahead of the General election in 2019.
“Any political party that does not treat the Yoruba people with the respect they deserve will lose the Presidency in 2019. U cannot win without substantial Yoruba support. That was the lesson of 2015 and those that have not learnt it will suffer the consequences”, he warned.
