World Cup: Eagles Not Ready For Fun _ Mutiu Adepoju Applauds Team

The retired Nigerian player, Mutiu Adepoju has expressed his confidence in the Super Eagles against the forthcoming World Cup in Russia.


After trashing the Argentines in the 2018 World Cup friendlies, the team appears formidable as it also defeated the sixth best team in the world, Poland last evening with a scoreline of 1 – nill.

‘The Headmaster’ as the former player is popularly called awashed the social media after the match to applaud the Super Eagles.

He noted that the recent winning has conveyed a message that the team is not going to World Cup just for fun but the nice time to bid for good victories.

“The message is very clear enough
@NGSuperEagles are not going to the
@FIFAWorldCup for a jamboree. Well done!”, he tweeted.

Nigeria will still be slugging it out with Serbia March 27 and later with DR Congo, Czech Republic and England and in this World friendlies.

Note that Nigeria is in the group with the same Argentina, Croatia and Iceland.
