Why Ondo Residents should be grateful to God for having Akeredolu – Adetimehin

Adetimehin has said Citizens of the State have every opportunity to be grateful to God for having Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu as the governor of the state.

He said the State has experienced more developmental project under Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu than any other administration.

He also urged residents of the state to always put the peace of the state ahead of any other political or other selfish gains for a collective and viable state.

Adetimehin made the appeal while receiving the new executive members of the Online Media Professionals (OMP) in Akure, the State Capital on Friday.

The APC chairman, while congratulating the Journalists urged them to play a critical role in dishing out prompt, verified and balanced reportage that won’t put the state into economical and political crisis.

He said though the new media is the latest trend, the OMP executives should always verify and balance stories before publishing them.

Speaking further on the achievements of Akeredolu’s in the State, Hon. Adetimehin said aside ongoing frantic efforts to have Port of Ondo in the southern part of the State, Akeredolu has constructed over 400 Kilometers of Roads, including the Ijoka-Idanre road, Oke-Ogba and Gaga Roads.

The APC Chairman also spoke on the industrialization drive of the Governor, which he said are evident in the Ondo-Linyi project in Ore. The Powdered Egg factory in Emure-Owo. The Sugarcane factory in Ikaro in Ifon and so on.

Earlier, the Chairman of OMP, Hakeem Adebumiti appreciated Mr Adetimehin for his leadership qualities.

He said the new executives have been paying courtesy visits to organizations and bodies that are partners in the business of communication.

Mr Adebumiti assured the APC Chairman that his members would be constantly reminded of the ethics of the profession and won’t abuse the platform but be fair, credible and objective in discharging their responsibilities.
