Why Akeredolu must be re-elected – Alex Ajipe

The Managing director of Klick Konnect limited, Mr. Alex Ajipe has urged the people of Ondo state to re-elect governor Rotimi Akeredolu in order to secure more gains in the steps taken by the state government towards industrialization.

Ajipe, while hosting journalists on Friday in Akure, the Ondo state capital said the state government is already counting it’s gains in area of increased revenue and different new businesses fetching gainful engagements for the citizens and residents of ondo state.

clearing the air on the company’s relationship with the Ondo state government, he said the company consults for the state government through monitoring and filling loopholes against the rumour that he is the brain behind the Ondo-Liyin Industrial Hub in the state.

He stressed that though Klick Konnect helped in the facilitation process, the Governor has been ready to take necessary risks in its bid to create employment opportunities.

He said:

“Not all investors create employment. Some will give money to the government but will not necessarily create employment for the people. So, we look at it very well, we were able to sign a bi-city agreement between Ondo state and Liyin; which is the first of its kind in Nigeria.”

Mr. Ajipe added that despite knowing they (the investors) will be spending a lot for them to conveniently invest in the state, they still went ahead because of the integrity of the Governor.

“There are a lot of politicians and leaders that do not even have the integrity and the reputation to attract such huge investment.”

While emphasizing the benefit of the Ondo-Linyi Bi-City Agreement, he said the state government and its partners had concluded arrangements to take off Okeluse Cement Factory in Ose local government area, as the process of securing licence for the factory is almost completed under Ondo-Linyi Bi-City Agreement.

“We are already processing the license for Okeluse cement factory. By God’s Grace, before the end of the year, we will get the license from the federal government and we will generate one thousand tones of cement on daily basis.

“We are also working on Okeluse ethanol factory, Previous governments in Ondo state had signed various MOUs but didn’t see the light of the day, however, the present government with it’s commitment, integrity and credibility has wooed lot’s of investors. In this administration, over 95 percent of the MOUs signed have been implemented,” He concluded.

Ajipe also said that in addition with the over 20,000 direct jobs created already for the people of the state, an additional 20,000 direct jobs and numerous indirect jobs will be added before July 2020.

While rounding up, the CEO who is also the founder of “Ibi-Giga Ambassadors”, appealed to the people of Ondo state to reelect Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu in a bid to sustain this industrial revolution in the state.
