WARD RALLY: Massive Turnout As APC Campaigns For Party Candidates In Akoko
I Have The Requisite Capacity To Give Akoko N/West Constituency 1 A Voice – Assembly Candidate, Fatai Atere
The 2023 General election is few weeks away and the members of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akoko North West local government area of Ondo state are leaving no stones unturned.
The party members and leaders stormed the streets on Monday massively to campaign for its candidates in continuation of their rally across the ten wards of the local government.
The host ward, Erusu/Ikaram/Ibaram/Iyani/Ase Ward 10 is the home of the former Secretary to the Local government and House of Assembly Candidate of the party in Akoko North West Constituency 1.
Members were seen with colourful placards displaying the Presidential Candidate of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Vice,Senator Kashim Shettima; the Senatorial Candidate of the party, Pastor Jide Ipinshagba; the House of Representatives Candidate of the party, Rep Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo and Fatai Atere, the Assembly Candidate.
The Chairman of the party in the local government, Kehinde Obanla expressed confidence on the chances of the party in the coming elections. According to him, it will be a one man show.
The Ikaram Akoko royal prince and Assembly Candidate of the party, Fatai Atere appreciated party members. He also highlighted his plans to ensure he gives the constituency a voice when elected.
According to him, “I stay here with you and I understand the terrain. I know what you thirst for and I am ready to be your voice such that our constituency will set a pace for effective representation in the next Assembly.
“I will work on bills that are relevant to our constituency and the state at large. I will protect your interest on the floor of the house and will not disappoint you.” He concluded.
The Campaign Council Director General in Akoko North East/Akoko North West Federal Constituency, Hon. Rasheed Badmus commended the beautiful ideas of the Assembly Candidate and further praised the choice of vibrant candidates the party is selling to the people in the country.
In his vote of thanks, the Director General of the Media and Publicity Directorate, Presidential Campaign Council of the party thanked the party members for the coordination and maturity shown since the campaign started. He noted that this signifies that the party is ready to lead the country to greatness.
Others present at the rally include: Former Special Adviser to Ondo State Governor on Youth and Students, Hon. Olumuyiwa Asagunla; Legislative aide to Rep Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, Hon. Apalowo Thalis and other party leaders.
