Recent Herdsmen Attack In Ekiti: Fayose Blasts Buhari

The Governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose has blamed President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government over the incessant killings of Nigerians connected to some Fulani herdsmen.

Following some recent attacks of suspected herdsmen in Ekiti state, Fayose questioned the Federal Government’s inaction to the issue which is gradually getting out of hand for state governments.

On his official Twitter handle earlier today, February 12, Fayose claimed that Buhari is somewhat afraid of boldly declaring the criminal herdsmen terrorists.

He also lamented the prevalence of Internally Displaced Persons despite the nonexistence of war in Nigeria. This, he blamed on the insecurity necessitated by the violent herdsmen.

“How can we be having IDPs everywhere when no country is at war with us and we are not fighting civil war? Why are we becoming refugees in our own country owing to incessant attacks by supposed herdsmen? Why is the FG afraid to treat these criminal herdsmen as terrorists?”, Fayose questioned.
