Public Assault As ‘Abena Boys’ Attack Osun Commissioner, Bola Ilori In Akure

The Osun State Commissioner for Regional Integration, Hon. bola Ilori was today assaulted by some suspected political thugs at the zonal meeting of the All Progressives Congress, held at the international event center (Dome) in Akure, the Ondo State capital.

Ilori, who represented Osun State at the forum, was assaulted when he left the hall to grant interview with reporters at the entrance of the hall.

His clothes and underwear were torn by his attackers.

Without any elaborate explanation, Ilori alleged that a top Ondo State Government official sent the thugs to attack him.

“It is Abena that sent them,” Ilori alleged.

However, the Chief Press Secretary to the Ondo state governor, Mr. Segun Ajiboye denied the Allegations on a phone chat with nigeriancablenews.com , saying that it was Bola Ilori that came with fully armed thugs to disrupt the Program.

He said:

” My brother, thank you for calling me. I will tell you the truth because I have no reason to lie, It was Ilori that came to the Program to disrupt it. He came with fully Armed Boys. The person that spoke on behalf of Governor Aregbesola was already through with his speech. Yet Ilori went to instigate his crowd of supporters, who were in Oranmiyan T-shirts, to disrupt the program. It is really very unfortunate. If they try to say something different. We have the vedio evidence and are ready to let it out.” He concluded.
