Owo Youth Enterprise Summit Opens Grant Application for Entrepreneurs
The organisers of the Owo Youth Enterprise and Empowerment Summit (OYEES) have invited young entrepreneurs and business owners in Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State to submit proposals for seed capital to start, sustain or expand their businesses.
The initiative, powered by the Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Dr Olayide Owolabi Adelami, mni, is aimed at supporting entrepreneurship and unlocking the economic potential of youths in Owo.
According to the organisers, both new and existing businesses are eligible to apply, provided they operate within Owo Local Government Area. Applicants are expected to submit clear and concise proposals demonstrating the viability of their business ideas or existing enterprises.
The proposals are required to contain the business name and location, an introduction, objectives, products or services, target market, proposed use of the grant, marketing strategy, competition, competitive advantage, future expansion plans and conclusion. Applicants are also required to provide their name, phone number and local government of origin.
The organisers also encouraged persons living with disabilities to apply and directed such applicants to clearly indicate their status by writing “PWD” after their names in their proposals.
Existing businesses are expected to provide additional information showing that their enterprises are already operational, including their current activities, market reach and achievements, as well as how the proposed grant would support their growth or expansion.
The organisers stressed that the opportunity is strictly for businesses operating within Owo Local Government Area, making location a key eligibility requirement for applicants.

The organisers urged interested entrepreneurs to prepare their proposals carefully and demonstrate how the proposed intervention would contribute to the sustainability and growth of their businesses.
