Ondo2020: Why we must place our return to govt over individual ambitions – PDP Rep, Ikengboju tells Party members
The member representing Okitipupa/Irele Federal constituency of Ondo state in the house of Representatives, Honourable Ikengboju Dele gboluga of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has urged his party leaders and stakeholders to put the collective interest of getting back to government in the state above individual ambitions and interests in the forthcoming election in the state
Gboluga made this disclosure in a statement he personally signed to mark the completion of his first one year in office on Friday.
While addressing other issues bordering on his stewardship in office, the lawmaker also hinted on his plan to host a health and medical outreach in his constituency, where people with different kinds of health challenges will be diagnosed and treated at no cost.
He said:
“As the Gubernatorial elections {Primary & General Election} draws near in our state, I believe without fear of contradiction, the overriding issue for us as a party [PDP] in Ondo State is to return to Alagbaka. That is when we can effectively and efficiently use the instrument of State Governance to better the lives of our people. It is my conviction that this primary and fundamental position of getting PDP back to power should not be sacrificed for any other considerations.”
