Ondo State Students Inaugurate New Leaders, Demand Justice For Late Artist, Mohbad
Students of Ondo state origin under the platform of National Association of Ondo state Students (NAOSS) have sworn in new set of leaders on Thursday in Akure, the state capital.
The new leaders, who were elected in August at the association’s annual national convention will be led by Oyelade Hammed as the Global President.
While giving his inaugural speech at the Cocoa conference hall in Akure, the new President promised to push the interest of Ondo State Students further from where the last administration dropped it.
According to him, “I am very delighted to deliver my inaugural speech today as the President of the National Association of Ondo State Students (NAOSS). It is a thing of joy- not just to me, but the Ondo State Students’ populace as this marks the beginning of reinvigoration era for NAOSS. We will push the interest of Ondo state Students from where the Ogunga Mary led administration left it.”
Oyelade also urged the government at all levels to ensure justice is served in the case of the late music star, Oladimeji Oloba ‘Mohbad’.
“We are saddened by the sudden and mysterious demise of a bright Nigeria, Ilerioluwa Aloba popularly known as Mohbad. The circumstances surrounding his death and hasty burial has raised concerns from well meaning Nigerians, leading to protests and agitations. We therefore demand justice for this bright light that was cut out untimely.”
The students further commend the Governor of the state on the palliative distribution in the state and also appreciate the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu for nominating Ayo Wisdom as the Minister Of Youths (State), describing the nomination as a perfect decision.
