16 Bag First Class As Elizade Varsity Holds Second Convocation
Elizade University in Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State on Friday produced 16 first class graduates among the 105 awarded first degrees in the University’s second convocation ceremony.

The Pro-chancellor and Council Chairman of the University, Mr. Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede CON, in his welcome address thanked the founder, Chief Michael Ade-Ojo and the board of trustees for their support on critical development issues at all times.

On his part, the Chancellor Dr. Gbenga Oyebode advised the graduands to bring to bear in future endeavors, knowledge acquired from the institution.
According to the University Registrar, Mr. Omololu Adegbenro, All the graduands from the department of Mathematics and Computer science, who graduate with first class and second class upper division have been offered automatic employment in Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC).
The institution’s Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Theophilus Fadayomi congratulated the graduands for their enduring efforts at fulfilling the requirements of graduation and charged them to be courageous and prepared for the new world ahead of them.
The Founder and Visitor, Chief Michael Ade-Ojo, said though the University has a long history, the purpose of its establishing is to train and develop the mind of the students to be self dependent in future.
The high point of the event was the presentation of numerous awards and cash prizes to all the outstanding graduands, including overall best graduating student, Miss Elizabeth Ajagunna from the department of Hotel Management and Tourism.
Elizabeth thanked the institution for the knowledge she acquired during her stay and promised to be good a ambassador of the school at all times.
Some parents who spoke to nigeriancablenewsonline.com expressed confidence in the knowledge impacted in their children, which they noted will make them better persons in future.

Dignitaries Present at the Event Include the Governor of Ondo state, Represented by the secretary to the state government, Mr. Ifedayo Abegunde, The Inspector-general of Police, Mr Ibrahim Idris, represented by the Ondo Police commissioner, Vice Chancellors of Other Universities, Royal fathers from across the country, heads and captains of industries, and friends and families of the celebrants.
