Ondo Rep Member, Omogbehin Distributes Financial Support To Student Constituents

Honourable Mike Adeniyi Omogbehin, a member of the House of Representatives representing Okitipupa/Irele Federal constituency under the auspices of the People’s Democratic Party in Ondo State On Saturday distributed financial support in form of Bursary Awards to the third set of students in his constituency.

The event which held at Idepe Town Hall in Okitipupa, Okitipupa local government area had two hundred and thirty (230) student beneficiaries in attendance, who went home with N10,000 each.

The students, who are drown from tertiary institutions across the country through a written test were gathered in expectation at the event as early as 9:00 am.

Another set of One Hundred and Sixty (160) secondary school students from the two local governments in Omogbehin’s constituency were also captured at the event, and they went home with a bundle of ten exercise books each.

Speaking at the event, Omogbehin thanked his constituents for the mandate given to him to represent them at the hallowed chamber. He gave a brief account of his stewardship and said has sponsored two bills and five motions In the last three Years.

He also mentioned other educational welfare programs that he has carried out, including the law students scholarships, special individual interventions and others.

‘I have done all these and many others because of my social contract with my people. This is part of promise to the people, and I will fulfill it again next year, either I get a reelection or not’: He said.

Comrade Oke Omoge, a student of the University of Benin (UNIBEN), who spoke on behalf of the students appreciated Omogbehin for keeping to his electoral promises.

Present to grace the occasion are Engineer Faboyede, the PDP chairman in Ondo state, HRM Oba J.B Faduyile, the Obadi of Ikale land, Other Royal Fathers from towns in the constituency, Political leaders, and community leaders.
