Ondo: Police Arrest 2 Assasins Who Hacked Old Woman To Death
The Anti-Kidnapping Squad of the Nigerian Police Force in Ondo have Paraded two suspected killers of an aged woman, who was hacked to death in her residence in year 2017.
The late victim, Modupe Olorunfemi was said to have acted as a spy for the security agents of Nigerian Police Force, Nigerian Army and Nigerian Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on their activities as dealers in all kinds of weeds including Indian hemps.
Following their continued arrest in the past, they decided to ‘silence’ her in January 2017, one of the suspected criminals confessed.
Mrs. Olorunfemi was hacked to death with the use of cutlass.
One of the suspects, Friday Ahmed admitted to the murder on an expected pay of N500,000 yet to be paid by their sponsor, simply named Gbenga.
Ahmed also said that a 23-year-old Sunday Femi is a co-culprit of the five-man gang, but the later denied involvement in the killing.
Femi, in his own account, said that he was only asked to give a bike-ride to Ahmed from his hometown in Owo, Ondo state to their farm later found to be near the deceased’s residence.
The Ondo state Police spokesman, Mr. Femi Joseph said that the two suspects would be charged to court while investigations to arrest other three culprits would continue.
