Ondo NURTW gets new Leaders

A new leadership tagged ‘Interim Caretaker Committee’ has emerged in the Ondo state chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW).

The interim Committee is to take charge of some designated motor Parks in the state.

The development is unfolding, several months of the sack of the state Executives led by Jacob Adebo popularly known as ‘Idajo’.

The Ondo State government, through the senior special assistant to the governor on special duties and strategy, Dr. Doyin Odebowale disclosed this while speaking newsmen in Akure

Odebowale said the caretaker committee to be headed by Alhaji Olalekan Folorunso, the osun state’s NURTW chairman was sent by its National Body

He added that the committee would be governed by Ondo state’s law to effect existing peace across the state

He further hinted that those selling tickets on behalf of the state would continue, and that the new committee would not be permitted to sell any tickets outside that of the state.

While warning the new committee against any breach of peace, the SSA warned those still parading themselves as leadership of motor Parks under any disguise to desist forthwith or be ready to face prosecution

Odebowale who explained that the security agencies have been mobilized to ensure orderliness also added that ondo State government was committed to taking away hardship from the residents.
