We Are Not On Medical Outreach In Ondo – Army Reacts To Rumored Vaccination
The Nigerian Army has refuted the claim that soldiers are currently in Ondo state to administer vaccines of any kind to secondary school students.
This became necessary as Some hours ago, a video of children in the Ondo state public school uniforms, running out of school over an alleged lethal vaccination from infections by ‘men in uniform’ was noticed on the social media.
The rumor which has drawn dust in the entire state within the past few hours today has been debunked by a press statement by Major Ojo Adenegan, Assistant Director Army Public Relations made available to nigeriancablenews.com
The statement titled: ‘NO POISONOUS VACCINE BY MILITARY IN ONDO STATE’, stated that:
The attention of 32 Artillery Brigade has been drawn to the fake information making the around in Ondo State that Soldiers are giving poisonous vaccine to children and students of both Primary and Secondary Schools in Ondo State.
We are using this medium to inform the general public to disregard such information. There is no ongoing medical outreach in Ondo State. The information is the hand work of mischief makers and should be treated as such.
We are using this medium to appeal to the general public to help give useful information on any person or group of persons who are behind this malicious information against the military.
