Kanu Faults Buhari’s Broadcast, Reaffirms His Positions For Biafra

The leader of the agitating Biafrans, Nnamdi Kanu has opposed President Muhammadu Buhari’s broadcast made on Monday, August 20 saying it didn’t address the Fulani herdsmen’s menace but spoke primarily on Biafrans.

Speaking yesterday shortly after his visit to Senator Enyinna Abaribe, Kanu reaffirmed his position as a Biafran.

“President Buhari spoke; he never mentioned the menace of Fulani herdsmen. His interest was Biafra agitation. It doesn’t work for me. I am a Biafran.”

“I will not do anything that will bring dishonour to my people. There is no reason for people to be afraid of the internal operation of IPOB”, he said.

President Buhari had during the nationwide broadcast said the
government will “reinforce and reinvigorate the fight not only against; elements of Boko Haram which are attempting a new series of attacks on soft targets kidnappings, farmers versus herdsmen clashes, in addition to ethnic violence fuelled by political mischief makers. We shall tackle them all”.
