Akeredolu sacks Ondo Attorney-General

Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo state has announced the sack of the state Attorney-General and commissioner for justice, Mr. Kolawole Olawoye.

Akeredolu, in a statement signed by his cheif Press secretary on Monday also announced Mr. Charles Titiloye as a replacement for the sacked cabinet members.

The statement reads:

“Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, SAN, has rejigged his cabinet.”

“Following this, he has appointed front line human rights lawyer, Sir Charles Titiloye as his Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice.”

“Titiloye is a human right activist and a renowned social critic. He was former Secretary of the Nigerian Bar of Association (NBA), Akure Branch.
A devout Christian, Charles Titiloye is a Knight of the Catholic Church of the order of Saint Mulumba.”

“His name will be forwarded to the state House of Assembly for confirmation.”

“Mr. Governor thanks the erstwhile Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice for services rendered to the state. He wishes him success in his future endeavours.”

Sources within the government circle however revealed to Nigeriancablenewsonline.com on the condition of anonymity that Olawoye was sack because he advised the governor to obey the court verdict on the reinstatement of suspended Honourable members in the state house of Assembly.
