JUST IN: Buhari Arrives London For Undisclosed Reason

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, has confirmed the return of President Muhammadu Buhari to known today after exiting New York where the 2017 United Nations General Assembly held.

Responding to an inquiry via a text message from PUNCH, the President’s spokesman said, “We just landed in London. The President is in transit; to be back in Nigeria on Monday.”

The Presidency had said last week that Buhari would stopover at London before returning to Nigeria but did not disclose the reason for his return.

Similarly, the Senior Special to President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu also said he doesn’t have knowledge of the reason behind his boss’ visit to London, whether for another medical check-up or not.

‘’I cannot confirm to you. I am in Abuja right now I cannot speak on
what I don’t know, he said in a phone conversation with journalists.

However, the president was accompanied by Governors Abdul’aziz Yari, David Umahi and Rotimi Akeredolu of Zamfara, Ebonyi and Ondo states
respectively.
