Igbokoda Street Lights Have Not Been Working Since You Became Governor – Akinjo Challenges Akeredolu

Hon. Kolade Akinjo, the House of Representatives member representing Ilaje/Ese-Odo federal constituency has called the attention of Ondo state governor, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu on the need to restore power into the street lights on the dual carriage Road in the commercial City of Igbokoda.

He said that the blackout may develop into security threat for the town, if power is not restored into the street lights as quickly as possible.

The letter, made available to nigeriancablenews.com Reads thus in part;

“As a representative of the oil producing belt of the state who understands that the responsibility of the state government is to provide security and enhance the welfare of the indigenes. I wish to draw your attention to the nonelectrification of Igbokoda street light with its attendant security and economic implications; and requesting that the purpose of expending tax payers’ money on it be put to use.”

It Reads further;
“I have made this application in furtherance to my legislative duty owed the people who Indeed are the oxygen of any thriving democracy.”

He however concluded by thanking the governor for the swift response on his earlier letter written with respect to fixing the bad porption of the Igbokoda-Ugbonla Road.
