Former Rep, Akinlaja Empowers 80 in Ondo
Former Member of the house of Representatives and Chairman of the Zenith Labour Party in Ondo State, Honourable (Dr.) Joseph Akinlaja has facilitated the training of young people and women in Ondo Kingdom.
The three days capacity training and Entrepreneurship program was organised in collaboration with the National Directorate of Employment NDE and was held at Akiavic Executive Hall, Ademulegun road, Ondo City, Ondo State.
Participants at the training were drawn from various communities, villages and settlements across Ondo East and West Local Government.
The three days training program started on Wednesday 3rd and ended on Friday 5th December 2020. The participants were trained in various areas such as Cake and Soap making, Air fresher and disinfectant production, Egg roll & meat pie making, Make up, auto gele tie and so on and so forth.
At the program, the representative of the National Directorate of Empowerment NDE, Ondo State Chapter charged the participants to explore the rate opportunity given to them for their greater advantage in order to become their own bosses in the nearest future. He commended the organiser for his philanthropic intent which he said will continue to have unparalleled influence in the lives of young people in the society.
Certificates of participation issued by NDE were presented to all the participants during the grand finale of the event on Friday.
Akinlaja, who Represented Ondo East & West Federal Constituency at the green chamber, while distributing the start-up Capitals to the participants implored them to be a good Ambassador of Ondo Kingdom, he enjoin them to use the funds and knowledge garnered during the three days training exercise for their common good to become self reliant.
He also advised the participants to always be conscious of their responsibility of impacting others who are interested indegenes as a way of contributing their quota to the economy development of the kingdom.
The empowerment and training program is the manifestation of Akinlaja’s strong commitment to human capacity development and the progress of Ondo Kingdom.
