Eid-al-Fitr: Ondo APC Celebrates With Muslims, Canvasses Support for Political Process
The Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has felicitated the Muslim community in the state and across the country, as they celebrate Eid-el-fitr.
The state chapter, in a statement signed by it’s Publicity secretary, Mr. Alex Kalejaye prayed Allah to accept their fast and bless them the more, while describing the fasting as a spiritual exercise with unfathomable gains.
According to the statement, the state chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, commended them for the sacrifices, and prayers for the State, and country during the fasting period, while urging them to continue to pray for the unity, peace, and development of Nigeria.
“The party deeply appreciates our Muslim brothers’ and sisters’ contributions and organization before, during, and after the last general elections. We urge you to support a peaceful and smooth transition in the political arena”, Adetimehin added.
The party chieftain contended that the prosperity of a country and it’s inhabitants are of paramount importance to various religions, and called on every Nigerian, irrespective of religious inclinations, to put national interest above personal issues.
He further prayed Allah to grant “our Muslim members and sympathisers” the privilege to celebrate many Eid-al-Fitri in good health.
