Buhari Breaks Silence Over Rumored Strife With Gov. Ganduje

President Muhammadu Buhari has reacted to the purported news that he is in feud worth the Kano state Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.

Speaking in response to the news that the President might be in rift with the Kano governor, Femi Adesina, the media aide to President Buhari stated such information as the handiwork of mischief makers.

“The report is perhaps the antics of mischief makers, who wish to score cheap political points against the Kano State governor,” he mentioned.

Mr. Adesina said some media outlets had incorrectly reported that his principal ignored Mr. Ganduje in Daura during Sallah holidays.

He said Mr. Ganduje’s visit to Daura, which is the president’s home town in Katsina State, was primarily billed as a condolence visit to the town’s emir, Umar Faruk, who had recently lost his younger brother, Barde n’Daura.

“The governor then used the opportunity to be part of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration,” Mr. Adesina said.

The spokesperson recalled that Buhari had received Mr. Ganduje, alongside others, a few weeks ago in London, and he had also welcomed the president on his return to the country on August 19.

“Why would such a person then be snubbed, as being reported, particularly on social media?” Mr. Adesina queried.

“It is not in the character of our President”, he ended.
