In a groundbreaking move last week, the Member of the House of Representatives, representing Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency, Hon. (Prince) Okunjimi John Odimayo, officially flagged off the construction of 4-kilometre roads in Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency.
Hon. Odimayo in a statement during the flag-off ceremony emphasized the significance of the event as a transformative step towards improving connectivity and enhancing the quality of life in the Okitipupa/Irele federal constituency. He highlighted the importance of infrastructure as the backbone of a thriving society and reiterated his commitment to fulfilling promises made during the last election.
Hon. Odimayo urged the constituents to perceive the road construction not merely as physical development but as a symbol of collective aspirations.
Expressing gratitude to the Almighty for making the day a reality, Hon. Odimayo thanked His Excellency, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abass Ph.D, for their pivotal roles in bringing the substantial road project to fruition.
He emphasized that the upcoming road construction initiative was a direct outcome of his influence within the national assembly, specifically allocated for the Okitipupa/Irele federal constituency distinct from his designated constituency project.
The legislator noted that the initially planned 4-kilometre road project had to be reconsidered due to a significant increase in the cost of the required tools for its execution.
