BREAKING: Why I May Leave APC Soon – Senator Shehu Sani
Kaduna Central lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has given an indication he may decamp from the ruling All Progressive’s Congress any moment from now.
The lawmaker spoke on Politics Today, a political program anchored on Channels TV, where he noted that the internal crises in the party may push some of them out.
He stressed that injustice and some other similar inconsistencies that plagued the former ruling Peoples Democratic Party and led to their defeat in 2015 are same rocking the APC.
As the speculations grow that Sani among some others may decamp to Social Democratic Party, SDP, the lawmaker established that some of them cannot bear to see injustice around them and may therefore have no option than to opt out.
“If things are not put in proper order there’s no way we can continue with the
party”, he added.
On the conferment of MKO Abiola as the past president of June 12, 1993 election among two other honorees, the Senator applauded the bold step taken by the President despite opposition.
He said the move was highly commendable, that Buhari has achieved what his predecessors couldn’t do.
He, however urged the president to move forward by address the fundamental issues affecting the country.
