Breaking: ‘PDP And APC Have Expired’ – Doyin Okupe

The former member of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Special aide of Former President Jonathan Goodluck has discarded the existence of the ruling party, All Progressives Party (APC) and People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

In a exclusive interview with Seun Okinbaloye at the Channels TV’s evening programme, Okupe lamented the state of wellbeing of the PDP, which used to be the ruling party ascribing it to be an ‘expired’ party.

In what seems to be argumentative with Okinbaloye, Chief Okupe waded off the chances of crossing to APC having left PDP.

He said: It’s very unlikely for me to join APC having left PDP. I left the party because it has expired in function.

“APC is also in expiration. Why should I leave an expired party and join another party close to expiration?”, he queried.

Recall, Okupe, who has once aspired to be the national chairman of PDP, shocked Nigerians with his resignation on Sunday morning.

The interview session ended around 7:30pm tonight.

I don’t respect Doyin Okupe’s resigning from PDP. One needs to ask of his grass root pull. After finding that he cannot win the PDP National Chairmanship of the Party, he wants to look elsewhere for greener pastures. One won’t be surprised if he eventually joins APC. He at a time clamoured to arrange a meeting between North and Southern leaders. He was ignored by all. He is one of the people who misled President Jonathan. He was rusticated by President Obasanjo from his Government. Has he any base? We shall soon see his political waterloo.
