BREAKING: I Will Resign In Two Weeks – Fayemi

The minister for solid minerals, Dr. Kayode Fayemi has said he would be dropping his resignation from office in the next two weeks.

Fayemi has just emerged the All Progressive’s Congress’ flag-bearer for the July 14 Governorship election in Ekiti state.

By the provisions of the 1999 constitution, a public office holder cannot vie for yet another public office while still in office.

Although, Reno Omokri, the former media aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan had earlier criticized the minister for contesting in the just concluded APC primary without doing the needful, the latter established on Politics today that he would soon resign from the office.

“I am going to resign my appointment as minister in the next two weeks”, Fayemi stressed.
