BREAKING: 4 Trailer Loads Of Fulani Herdsmen Invade Ondo Community

Over Two thousand Fulani men suspected to be herdsmen were today arrested by vigilant youths in Akunnu Akoko community of Ondo state.

The suspected herdsmen loaded in four long vehicles entered the community from a yet to be known location, but were apprehended and led to the Police station by a combine force of youths and community security guards. As they were seen with different bags suspected to contain arms and other dangerous materials.

However, the Ondo state Police command P.R.O, Mr. Femi Joseph on a phone chat with nigeriancablenewsonline.com, while confirming the incident clarified that they were farmers from northern Nigeria invited by a person in the community. And that the Person confirmed their invitation but said he was not expecting them in that large number.

He said:

‘Yes they were noticed in there numbers and led to the station, but there was no armunition of any kind with them. We also found out that they were northern farmers invited by a member of the community’

He concluded by saying that they were later escorted out of the community after a mutual agreement with the community leaders.
