BREAKING: Ondo Health Workers Storm Governor’s Office, Protest 9 Months Unpaid Salaries
Health workers in Ondo state are currently occupying the state secretariat in Alagbaka Akure. Protesting against an alleged total neglect by the state governor, Rotimi Akeredolu.

The workers who carry out their duties under the auspices of Ondo State Emergency Management Services Agency (ODEMSA) said the government is owning then 9 months salary.

They also added that all of their equipments are no longer functioning, leaving the Agency in a dead state.

One of them who spoke with Nigerian Cable News, Mr. Omokinde Kehinde said:
“We have not received salaries since June 2017, and our efforts at lobbying and negotiating with government have proved abortive. The Akeredolu led government does seem to have us in his plans at all. And that is why we are here.”
And staff of ODEMSA, Mr. Idowu Ayoola said:
” We have never had this kinds of problems before this government came on board. Our working vehicles and equipments are all dead. We are tired of hunger. We can no long pay our children’s school fees. That is why we have come to make our grievances known.”

The workers are however yet to get government attention as a press time, as no one has attended to them.
