2019: Ondo Rep Member, Akinlaja Wins ZLP Return Ticket

Hon. Joseph Akinlaja, the member representing Ondowest/East Federal constituency in the house of representatives has emerged as the candidate of Zenith Labour for 2019 Election.

The Federal parliamentarian was unanimously adopted by leaders of the Party in Ondo town on Tuesday, October 2nd, 2018.

Akinlaja who is seeking reelection for another term in the House of Representatives for the Ondo East and West Federal Constituency seat will Contest on the platform of Zenith Labour Party.

Akinlaja is a ranking member of Federal House of Representatives, and the Chairman House Committee on Petroleum Resources Downstream, a position he’s been holding since the inception of the 8th Assembly.

Before he Joined active politics, he was a Labour leader of note. He rose to the position of Deputy National President of Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and General Secretary of Nigerian Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, NUPENG.

Again, the Petroleum Tanker Drivers (PTD a branch of NUPENG) made him their Grand Patron/Technical Consultant. Akinlaja was Deputy National Chairman of Labour Party.

Akinlaja has to his credit, sterling records of oustanding representation in tandem with the principle of social democracy in the National Assembly.
