#YOHLA2019: Yoruba Heritage International Holds Second Annual Lecture and Awards
The second edition of the Yoruba Heritage Annual Lecture and Awards was held in Akure the Ondo State capital with the theme; Economic Integration: Creating entrepreneurial opportunities and raising business leaders for sustainable development of Yoruba Land.

While giving his welcome address, the Aare of the Yoruba Heritage Group, Omo’ba Segun Adesemoye stressed the importance of cultural rebirth and value reorientation, restoring the core values of the Yoruba people and promote unity in Yoruba land.

He admonished that the only way to economic independence and prosperity is for young people to engage in business and entrepreneurial activities and shift their focus from shortcuts that leads them to engage in criminal activities which only leads to destruction.
The guest speaker, Barrister Adewole Adebayo spoke on the urgent for young people to believe in themselves, work hard and imbibe the culture of honesty and integrity in all their dealings.
While delivering the keynote address, Ambassador Wanle Akinboboye advised the Yoruba to embrace their culture, believe in themselves and explore the huge opportunities in tourism. He said “we must take advantage of our advantage so that we can have an advantage”
The event was chaired by Chief Michael Ade. Ojo admonished Yoruba to embrace their culture and provide entrepreneurial opportunities.
The event was graced by dignitaries such as the Olowo of owo, Oba Victor Folagbade Olateru-Olagbegi as the Royal father of the day, Chairman, Toyota Nigeria, Chief Michael Ade. Ojo who is the chairman of the event, Barr. Adewole Adebayo, President Africa Dialogue Mission, Amb. Wanle Akinboboye, President, LA Campagne Tropicana, Otunba Niyi Babade of CNN Africa, Prof. Niyi Akinaaso, students and youths across the south west and many more.
