WORLD CUP: How Nigeria’s Iwobi, Iheanacho, Others Humiliated Argentina

The Super Eagles of Nigeria impressively triumphed over the La Albiceleste of Argentina in the 2018 World Cup International Friendly match this evening.

The friendlies that kick-started at 5:30pm (NGN time) in Russia could have ended bitter for the Nigerian team, but a ‘comeback’ goals from Kelechi Iheanacho, Alex Iwobi and Bryan Idowu saved the day.

The Argentines were already ahead with their first two goal in the first half of the match from Banega and Aguero respectively, before a free-kick was converted into goal by Kelechi Iheanacho, the Super Eagles forward which upturned the entire match from the 44 minutes.

The Second Half opened with another hit in the net by Alex Iwobi around 52nd minutes, to set an equaliser.

Not too long, the substitute player, Bryan Idowu, diving from his defence angle came towards box 18 to give Nigeria its third goal of the match.

Before Iwobi was later substituted, he earned his team the fourth goal at the 73rd minutes.

The likes of Dybala, Aguero, Angel Di Maria couldn’t hold their opponents from giving their team a gory end today.

The match ended 2 – 4, a winning for the Super Eagles against the La Albiceleste
