Why Danjuma’s Statement Can Only Be Understood By Buhari _ Shehu Sani

The lawmaker representing the Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Senator Shehu Sani claimed the message communicated by the former minister of Defence, Major General Theophilus Danjuma will be best understood by President Muhammadu Buhari only.

As the call made by Danjuma for Nigerians to defend themselves against attacks imminent in the country is becoming highly controversial in the less than 48 hours and heating up the polity, the Red Chamber lawmaker, Sani has also dropped his opinion in the issue.

According to his tweet on Sunday, Sani stated:

“You can’t claim to know Buhari more than Danjuma does. You can’t claim to know Danjuma more than Buhari does. You can’t lecture Buhari and Danjuma about war and peace. Buhari has heard Danjuma’s radio message and I believe he has decoded the message.

He added that the issue of national security has reached a climax and both Buhari and Danjuma as retired Army are enriched with experiences to make proactive actions.

“The nation is tiptoeing through a minefield. The two generals are experienced to know better that its fate lies in every step”, Sani ended.
