UPDATE: Sambo Dasuki Regains Freedom

Former National Security Adviser, NSA, Col. Sambo Dasuki(retd), has regained his freedom after his over four years detention in custody of the Department of State Services, DSS.

Dasuki’s lawyer, Mr Ahmed Raji, SAN, confirmed the development to newsmen on Tuesday “Yes he has been released and he is about to leave the place.”

Dasuki was arrested on December 1, 2015 over a multi-billion dollar and naira slush funds that emanated from his office as National Security Adviser.

The money meant to prosecute the insurgency in the country and equip the military ended up in politicians’ pockets for matters unrelated to security.
