UPDATE: Presidency Reacts Over Obasanjo’s Endorsement Of Atiku
Femi Adesina, a spokesman to President Muhammadu Buhari has reacted to the latest alignment of forces between former President Olusegun Obasanjo and his Ex-deputy, Atiku Abubakar, the Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP) for the 2019 election.
In the recent development, Obasanjo endorsed Atiku to oust Buhari in office after some notable leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party leadership stormed his residence in Abeokuta, Ogun state to seek support for Atiku.
Obasanjo said he has forgiven Atiku of all he may have done wrong to him in the past, having seen the good attitude the latter had developed. He also hinted on how tough it will be to sack the incumbent president in 2019.
IN reaction to this, the Presidency posed a strongwill to rubbish the alliance between Obasanjo and Atiku.
Adesina, with his Twitter handle, said:
“The harder they come, the harder they fall. 2019 presidential election on my mind”.
However, Femi Fani-Kayode quickly replied his tweet with a conquest to flag off the best in the 2019 poll.
“Rematch time is almost here. We shall meet in the field brother. And may the best man win”, he replied.
