UPDATE: ‘I Am Still In PDP’, Says Shekarau

His Excellency, Ibrahim Shekarau, the former governor of Kano state and the Sardaunan Kano has refuted a report on his exit from the opposition People Democratic Party.

nigeriancablenewsonline.com ealier gathered that his spokesman, Ya’u Sule had revealed today in an interview with the BBC Hausa that the politician dumped his party because of the recent dissolution of the state executives.

But, in a quick tweet this afternoon, Shekarau noted that consultation is still ongoing about the crisis of the party in Kano state, hence re-estabilishing his membership with PDP.

“I’m still in @OfficialPDPNig, the #PDPKano consultation is still ongoing. H.E #IbrahimShekarau, Sardaunan Kano denied dumping PDP so far”, he tweeted.
