The residents of Ojokoro, Lagos were seriously bittered and aggrieved as they set ablaze two suspected kidnappers at Obadeyi bus-stop, Ojokoro axis of the Lagos-Abeokuta expressway, today, August 8.
This morning, some passers-by claimed they overheard the voice of a woman shouting for help under the bridge of Obadeyi bus-stop and decided to conduct a search which later got them to apprehend a kidnapper, at first.
In the words of an eyewitness, Adesola John, he confirmed that:
“A woman was crying for help and people heard her voice and searched under the bridge before they found this man.”
The aggrieved residents set the nabbed man ablaze after they were unstoppable by Police around.
Not too long as the search by Police, Soldiers and residents continued, they got another man who attempting to escape before he got in the hands of furious residents that also got him burn to death.
The Police were only able to take to custody two suspects out of the four found.
Pandemonium was set loose by the mobs. The Soldiers tried controlling heavy traffic as vehicular movement on both sides of the highway has been slowed down by the heavy crowd.
