Trouble Looms In Ondo APC As Party Electoral Officials Shun Ward Congresses
The APC congresses held across the 203 wards in Ondo state was marred violence, irregularities, violence and Protests.

Our correspondents report has it that the party returning officers, who were supposed to conduct the elections of new party leaders were conspicuously absent in wards 14 & 15, Oba and ward 6 in Ayegunle, Akoko southwest local government.

They went further to confirm that party returning officers refused to appear at the announced Congress venues in the three wards, while also alleging that few party members have written and submitted the election results of the yet to be conducted elections.
At Akure south local government, a top government appointee allegedly led thugs to disrupt the process in all the wards, resulting in massive injuries sustained by party members.
Mr. Afe Olowookere, a member of the House of Representatives, representing Akure North/South federal constituency on the All Progressives Congress (APC) Platform, allegedly accused the secretary to Ondo State government, Mr. Ifedayo Abegunde of sponsoring and leading thugs to disrupt the congresses in Akure township areas.
Mr. Segun Afolabi, an APC stalwart in Erinje kingdom of Okitipupa local government threatened to challenge the expected result of the elections in the local government, adding that no Congress held in the 13 wards. while also adding that few people had written the ‘winners’ names and submitted on Friday.
