Trouble Looms In Lagos APC As Ambode Faces Impeachment Threat Over Second Term Bid

There are strong indications of looming crises between Governor Ambode and the lagos chapter of the All Progressives Congress, as Nigerian Cable News learnt that Governor Akinwumi Ambode has just been told expressly by the messengers of his estranged godfather(Bola Tinubu) that he won’t get APC ticket for second term.

This newspaper gathered that Mr. Babajide Sanya-Olu, a strong ally of Tinubu and notable financier of Rauf Aregbesola’s backed Mandate Movement has been endorsed to flag the Guber ticket of APC.

All the chairmen of APC in 20 LGAs and 37 LCDAs have reportedly signed the nomination form of Babajide Sanya-olu.

Findings also revealed that Governor Ambode may be impeached, if he defect to another party unless the ‘Abuja cabal’ come to his side through police and public unrest by sealing off the assembly complex till the end of next year general election.

It was also garthered that the Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa in a letter to Ambode yesterday advised the governor not to submit his nomination form, warning the Governor that he risk being Impeached if he dare disobey his advise.

According to Mr. Adeleye, a renowned social critic, friends of the governor in the nationla body of the rulling party are considering backing Ambode to run under Action Democratic Party (ADP) like Obasanjo backed Ikhedi Ohakim of Imo State under PPA in 2007 against his party and triumphed.

The next two weeks will very be interesting in Lagos Political firmament as the prayers of common People seems to be answering.
