Traveler’s Luggage Missing, 3 Weeks After Flying Turkish Airline To UK

At least 17 days after arriving her destination in the United Kingdom, A Passenger who flew Turkish airline is still yet to find her luggage.

The traveler simply Identified as Miss Familusi Oluwafisayo left Nigeria for the United Kingdom on Sunday, 18th September, 2022, and has lost her luggage in transit, After Flying Turkish Air.

Nigeriancablenewsonline.com gathered that Fisayo, who traveled through a Turkish Airline on Sunday night was scheduled to have a stop-over at Instambul, before connecting Birmingham, her final destination.

However, for reasons best known to the Turkish Airline, they flew behind schedule, which led to Fisayo and about 25 other passengers, missing their connecting flight and being stranded in Instambul.

After hours of waiting, Fisayo later booked another flight to London with a Tunisia Airline, when it became obvious that the Turkish Airline was neither ready nor willing to salvage the situation.

She asked at the point of the new booking, if her luggage will be transferred to the Tunisia Airline, and she was assured it will be transferred.

On getting to London on Tuesday, 20th September, she waited for her luggage at checkout point, to no avail. She was later told to drop her details and wait for the luggage for 48 hours, after she complained at the help desk of the Tunisia Airline.

The waiting period ended on Thursday 22nd, and she tried to get across to the airlines, through their customer care line and emails, to no avail.

Many days after over one hundred times of trying to call Turkish Airline customer care, a staff picked and said they don’t have any record of the bags in their office.

By some yet to be understood developments, the Airport management of Birmingham airport called to deliver two of the bags few days ago.

The third and most important of the bags is however yet to be found till now.

Fisayo is a Nurse, expected to have resumed at her new place of work, but can not go to work, as she can’t start work without all her belongs, including vital documents and immediately needed contents of the yet to be found luggage.

Efforts by Nigeriancablenewsonline.com to get across to Turkish airline on this development proved abortive, as the phone numbers found on their website are not connecting.
