TAL Launches Helicopter Fleet, Set To Transform The Landscape Of Nigeria’s Aviation Sector

Tropical Arctic Logistics Limited (TAL) has launched its N43.8 billion ($120 million) worth of helicopter fleet in a bid to transform the landscape of Nigeria’s aviation sector.

According to the company, one of the six AW139 helicopters for Tropical Arctic Logistics Limited is already in Nigeria with the others expected before the end of 2018.

The launching took place last week in Ikeja, Lagos.

President and Chief Executive Officer of TAL, Emperor Baywood Ibe said at a press conference just before the launch, said the company’s helicopter offers business-beneficial services to the Oil and Gas industry, Executive Spot Charter, Banking Industry, Medical Emergency Evacuation (MEDVAC) and Allied Services as well as Executive private Aircraft Charter.

Ibe said that the launch was a historic occasion and TAL is set to transform the landscape of the aviation sector in Nigeria.

TAL, according to him, is a game-changer and has made massive investments in all key sectors of operations in order to sharpen its competitive edge.

The AW139 helicopter we have acquired is state-of-the-art and designed for safety and efficiency to service customer demand.

Chief Operating Officer of the organization, Prince Femi Adeniji also spoke, highlighting TAL’s resolve for good maintenance.

“TAL is a strong believer of local content and in my background, I have 42 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance I have worked with four out of five companies which are maintenance companies,” said.

“The aircraft you see out there were flown down from Europe by two Nigerians. So maintenance is important to us.”
