‘Shut Up On Amnesty’, Mama Boko Haram Tells Buhari, Gives Better ‘Way Out’ [VIDEO]
Aisha Wakil, popularly known as Mama Boko Haram, has given the Nigerian government a clue on how to bring an end to Boko Haram’s insurgency in Nigeria.
She faulted the arrangement of Amnesty intended by President Muhammadu Buhari as she offered a better way to convince the insurgent for an absolute ceasefire.
In her interview with Channels TV, Mama Boko Haram said her ‘boys’ had earlier contacted her before they eventually released the abducted Dapchi schoolgirls.
She noted that they revealed it was not their deliberate intention to hold the schoolgirls captives as she begged them for their release, which they eventually did last week Wednesday.
She further advised Federal Government to keep down her voice on Amnesty but have dialogue with the persons such as herself who have intimate relationships with the insurgent group.
She assured that Boko Haram will come around in interest of such dialogue.
‘There’re people who have relationship with Boko Haram. The government should shut up on amnesty and meet with these people. These boys will call in the process of this meeting’, the woman, who is also a lawyer noted.
Wakil had served as a member of the Dialogue and Peaceful Resolution of Security Challenges Committee in the northern region, which was set by former president Goodluck Jonathan.
She was reported to have influenced the release of some Chibok girls from Boko
Haram.
